Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation awards post-secondary annual scholarships (ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 with the potential of being larger for exceptional submissions) to high school seniors and/or undergraduate students attending accredited educational/technical institutions and who can demonstrate financial need. Applicants must be the child of an active-duty service member stationed at any of the bases/ installations where Balfour Beatty Communities manages housing at the time of the application. Each scholarship will be awarded for the 2014-2015 school year based on review of the applicant’s academic performance, financial need, community involvement and extra-curricular activities. In addition, we evaluate an applicant’s essay based on originality and content.

All selections of scholarship recipients will be determined by the Foundation’s Board, and names and locations of applicants will not be revealed to the Board until after recipients have been chosen. The deadline for submission of scholarship applications must be postmarked April 15, 2014 and scholarship winners are expected to be notified by the Foundation on or around June 1st of the same year.
