Nature’s Classroom are Colorado State Standards based programs to connect children to nature through the hands on exploration of a variety of topics specially geared for each grade. This is a great option for both remote learners and home schooled learners to get out in nature, enjoy, have fun, and learn a thing or two along the way. Upon completion, students will earn a certificate to give their educator as proof of attendance

Grades: Pre-K–2 Time: 2 hours
Science Standards: Life Science GR1, GLE2
The Cattail Marsh Wildlife Area is a special place, providing habitats for many plants and animals. Students will use their senses to explore this wetland environment and consider the adaptations of the plants and animals seen along the way; Program consists of introductory puppet show, animal adaptations inquiry activity, Exhibit Room discovery, and guided hike.
