What brought Zeb Pike to the banks of Fountain Creek, and what happened during and after his rugged trek through the Pikes Peak Region?  Discover his 1806 southwestern expedition through this illustrated talk, and then discover more about the human history of Fountain Creek in the new cultural history exhibit, “Fountain Creek is a Pathway of History.”  

Speaker bio:  For over thirty years, Carol Kennis Lopez has created experiential and traditional learning opportunities about the history of the American West at Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site, Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum and the Osher Institute at the University of New Mexico.  She serves on the Colorado Springs Historic Preservation Board.
