For the first time in Widefield history, we have two teams competing in the 4A Girls Basketball Final Four. The Widefield High School Lady Gladiators and the Mesa Ridge High School Lady Grizzlies will play on Thursday, March 8 at the Denver Coliseum.
- Mesa Ridge High School vs. Pueblo South @ 4pm
- Widefield High School vs. Evergreen @ 5:30pm
To give all of our fans a chance to attend the games and adequate time to travel, Widefield School District 3 will have a three-hour early release on Thursday, March 8.
The early release dismissal times for Thursday, March 8 will be exactly three hours BEFORE normal release times and buses will run three hours BEFORE as well. Your child’s school will be sending out schedule information, as well as posting changes on school websites.
Afternoon preschool classes are canceled for Thursday March 8.
Lunch will still be provided for students at school before the early release.
