Colorado Springs, CO  – On April 4, 2019, at approximately 3:26 AM, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the 700 block of South 8th Street on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to the scene and confirmed the on-scene death.

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for this investigation. This death is being investigated as a homicide and continues to be an active investigation. One subject has been detained, all individuals are accounted for.
