Colorado Springs Firefighter Arrested in Child Sex Case

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit is actively investigating a 59 year old Colorado Springs Fire Department employee.

On October 10, 2018, detectives arrested Robert Patrick Stambaugh without incident. He is charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Child, CRS 18-6-403, a Class 3 Felony, and will be booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center with no bond. Stambaugh has been employed by the Colorado Springs Fire Department since 1986 and is currently assigned as a Firefighter/Paramedic.
