On August 21, 2012, investigators from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48 year old Robert Gordon for Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust and other charges.

The investigation began on August 5, 2011, when the male victim, now 23 years of age, informed investigators he had an ongoing sexual relationship with Mr. Gordon approximately 10 years ago. The victim met Mr. Gordon through attendance at a church in the Security/ Widefield area. Due to the nature of the crime, no additional details will be released. Mr. Gordon is being held at the El Paso County Criminal Justice center on $250,000 bond for the following charges.

C.R.S. 18-3-405(d)(1) – Sexual Assault on a Child/Pattern of Abuse – A class 3 Felony.

C.R.S. 18-3-405.3 – Sexual Assault on a Child/Position of Trust – A class 3 Felony

C.R.S. 18-3-405 – Sexual Assault on a Child – A class 4 Felony

Robert Gordon is currently employed as a bus driver for Widefield School District 3; he has been placed on administrative leave.
