After being closed to the public since March 17 due to COVID-19 restrictions, which is the longest closure in our 94-year history, we are now able to welcome our members and guests back to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo! We have put many precautions in place, so you can feel comfortable and confident during your visit to the Zoo.
Please be patient with the new precautions we’ve put in place, with the help of local and state health officials. Adherence to these precautions help protect our guests, staff and animals, and are a requirement for our approved reopening.
The Zoo Reopens in 3 Phases:
- June 6 – 10 – Members-Only, Limited Capacity Timed E-Ticket Admission. *Only those covered under your membership can attend. Sorry, no non-member guests will be allowed during this members-only week. Advance E-Tickets (free of charge) with a reserved arrival time are required.
- For those members who supported the Zoo by renewing or not requesting an extension to their membership because of our closure, this is your chance to get the first view of our new Water’s Edge: Africa exhibit, featuring hippos and African penguins! You are invited to visit the new exhibit before anyone else. Please consider this as our HIPPO-SIZED thank you for helping us retain our critical membership revenue stream, when no other income was coming in. We appreciate you more than you know!
- June 11 – 19 – Members and General Public, Limited Capacity Timed E-Ticket admission with a reserved arrival time are required.
- Our variance is currently approved for the next two weeks, so watch our website and social media for details beyond June 19.
