Widefield District 3 Community Parade Is On

The annual Widefield School District 3 Community Day will take place Saturday, Oct. 5.        The Community Parade kicks off the day’s events starting at 10:30 a.m. The parade will start, as always, in the Big R parking lot, 165 Fontaine Boulevard.

This year’s parade theme is “Positive Impact.” It’s inspired by positive influences in our community. Students and community members will create parade floats that correlate with kindness, respect and compassion.

The parade starts west on Fontaine, heads north on Security Boulevard, turns east on Main Street, and finishes at C.A. Foster Stadium behind Widefield High School at approximately 11:45 a.m.

The Community Cookout, which benefits Fountain Valley Scholars, begins at 11:45 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. A $3 ticket gets you admission to the Mesa Ridge-Widefield football game and a hot dog, chips and soda.

The football game begins at 1 p.m. at C.A. Foster Stadium.

Bring your family and friends and come support Widefield School District 3!
