U.S. Active Duty Military Ride Free on Mountain Metropolitan Transit

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.–Mountain Metropolitan Transit is proud to recognize National Military Appreciation Month by offering active duty military members free rides on all fixed-route municipal buses for the entire month of May. This small token of gratitude is meant to acknowledge the bravery, sacrifice and unwavering commitment of our local armed forces personnel. In order to participate, active duty members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserves need to present the bus driver with a current military ID, or wear an appropriate full uniform at the time of boarding.

Mountain Metropolitan Transit provides local fixed-route bus service and Mountain Metro Mobility ADA paratransit service for Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. All buses are wheelchair-lift equipped. Mountain Metropolitan Transit also provides other services such as Mountain Metro Rides’ ridesharing, vanpool, and bicycling programs. For added convenience, there are bike racks on all buses for riders who want to utilize the bike-n-busprogram.
