Colorado Springs, CO – City crews are cleaning up after this week’s storm and have received a lot of calls asking about the cleanup of tree debris and branches on private property.
To help clear up any confusion, here is some important information. The City only removes tree debris and branches from trees that are in public spaces. This includes right of ways, medians, parks, open spaces, and trails. The City will also remove trees that are blocking roadways.
The City will not remove branches or debris from trees on private property. Any material moved to the sidewalk from private trees will not be removed by the City.
The City does not provide a location for property owners to drop off tree debris or branches. Property owners need to contact a licensed, privately-owned tree service. A list of these companies is available at www.coloradosprings.gov/downtree. For information on how to report an issue with a City tree, visit www.coloradosprings.gov/downtree. City Forestry received more than 1,000 calls in the first 24 hours after the storm. For this reason, the best way to report an issue with a City tree is through the online. We appreciate your patience as we work to respond to your report.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special.
