Several tornados were reported in El Paso County on Thursday in Fountain and near the airport. One tornado touched down near Fountain off Marksheffel and Peaceful Valley Road damaging a home.
The tornado ripped a hole in the roof of homeowner George Cusic, blew the garage door in and broke windows. The homeowners were at home when the tornado hit and said it sounded like a freight train coming through.
The truck just outside the home had its window blown out and the camper trailer was picked up 100 yards into the air and left in pieces as it hit the ground.
The homeowners had recently built a new shed and it was torn apart while the old one right next to it was left standing.
There were no injuries from the tornado but the damages will take time to repair.
The roof was torn off by the tornado.
Windows were blown out of the truck.
Trampoline bent and crumpled.
Trailer was picked up 100 yards into the air before crumbling down.
Thankfully, everyone was safe after the tornado was gone.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special. You can find all my posts
