Colorado Springs – Tiffani Jackson, has signed her letter of intent to play basketball at Bethany College for the 2014-2015 academic year.
Jackson, a 5’9″ guard, played basketball and volleyball for all four years at Mesa Ridge High School in Colorado Springs. She was also a defender on the soccer team for a year and played doubles on the tennis team for a year. Jackson earned Academic All-State honors three years in a row and she was also a part of the highest cumulative grade point average for a girls’ basketball team in the state of Colorado.
Mesa Ridge also won the 2014 4A State Championship by knocking off Broomfield 45-41 in the championship game. Jackson averaged 10 points per game, grabbed 84 rebounds, 61 steals, 29 assists, and 22 blocks in her senior season.
“Tiffani Jackson is going to be a great addition to the Bethany College community. She has an infectious, energetic personality and she works hard in the classroom,” said Head Women’s Basketball Coach Brett Morehouse. “Tiffani is another member of the 2014 recruiting class that will be joining us after winning a state championship in basketball during her senior season. She is very athletic, has great size for a guard and she excels at finishing shots in the paint and out in transition. While we expect Tiffani to make an immediate impact on our program, we also know that she is just beginning to tap into her true potential.”
Jackson is the daughter of Derrick and Shannon Jackson. She has a 3.3 grade point average and plans to major in Psychology while studying at Bethany College.
