Everyone is invited to the Lighten the Load fundraiser on Sunday August 17 at Cokes Diner in Fountain. Coke’s Diner will provide a Free meal with donation. Proceeds will benefit the Lighten the Load program. Every year, families throughout our community struggle to pay their utility bill. To help residents during difficult times, Fountain Utilities has created the Lighten the Load Program.

Lighten the Load is a program ran by Fountain Utilities, and helps households who have experienced an emergency of some type. It could be a medical emergency, a lay off, or just down on their luck and need a helping hand.This is a program where neighbors help neighbors and it is a hand up not a hand out. Life presents challenges that we are at times not prepared for, and we are here to help in those difficult times.
