ROCKY MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE CAMP FOR MILITARY TEENS

Teens of military families will have an opportunity to attend summer camp free of charge. Rocky Mountain Adventure Camp is open to teens of military families. Colorado State University will host youth between the ages of 14 and 18 years old at one of five camps offered at Pingree Park, the university’s mountain campus located 50 miles west of Fort Collins.

Rocky Mountain Adventure Camp is for youth who have a guardian or immediate family member serving in any branch of the U.S. military, National Guard, reserves or who are active or retired military. The camp is a four-day, three-night residential experience providing a variety of physical challenges. Among other activities, each camp will include whitewater rafting on the Poudre River, a challenge ropes course and hiking.

The U.S. Department of Defense, National Institute of Food and Agriculture, Colorado State University, Pingree Park staff and Operation: Military Kids are working in partnership to provide the camps at no cost to participants. A $25 refundable deposit will hold spots for specific camp sessions.

Rocky Mountain Adventure Camps will be held:

May 31-June 3
June 6-9
June 21-24
July 11-14
July 19-22

Camp sessions are filling up quickly, so interested families should register as soon as possible. Each session is open to 45 youths. All sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
