Earlier this year, the story of a man that fell 20 feet during his construction job in Downtown, Colorado Springs and died immediately, went viral throughout the media. Pedro Carreño Arrazola left behind his wife and five children. Not only did Pedro’s tragic death affect the Colorado Springs community, but it had a big effect on the community of Fountain. Most of the community knew Pedro Carreño Arrazola and his family through church, D8 schools, sports events (player and referee of soccer), etc.
Amairani Alamillo a graduate from Fountain Ft-Carson high school (Class of 2012) and member of SOMOS at Colorado College have decided to hold a fundraiser for Pedro Carreño Arrazola’s family. The event is called: Pedro Carreño Arrazola Memorial Fund. The zumbathon will be a memorial event for Pedro’s family. All the donations will go to his family to be used towards his children’s education.
The zumbathon will take place on Saturday, May 3rd from 10 am-12 noon. Location: El Pomar Gym at Colorado College, 44 W Cache La Poudre St. Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Please come join the fun, get a workout and help out the Arrazola family.
Amairani Alamillo, is a local student and wanted to create a relationship between not only SOMOS and the Colorado College community, but also the Colorado Springs community.
