Widefield School District 3 (WSD3) and Nunn Construction
announce the groundbreaking ceremony on May 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM for Grand
Mountain School in Lorson Ranch.
It is thanks to the voters for passing the bond back in the November 7, 2017 that the
new prek-8th grade school is made possible. The groundbreaking ceremony is an
opportunity for the community to see their tax dollars at work.
“We thank the community for allowing us to further enhance educational opportunities
that the school will bring for our students. The new school will open its doors for many
students and the groundbreaking sparks attention to a bright beginning,” said WSD3
Superintendent Scott Campbell.
This project is the first in 22 years for the district and will allow for further growth in the
community. WSD3 is working with LKA Partners for the planning and design of the new
campus, and contracted with Nunn Construction as our CM/GC building partner for
Grand Mountain School. The school will open in the fall of 2019.
“Nunn Construction is proud to be a building partner with Widefield School District for
over a decade. This new Grand Mountain School will be a vital asset to the growth and
vitality of educational opportunities for Widefield students and families. Our team will
work tirelessly to ensure the success and value of our built product,” said Tyson Nunn,
president of Nunn Construction.
