The Colorado Military Taptoo will be held on August 27th at the Pikes Peak Center. A truly larger-than-life, majestic spectacle & celebration of patriotism, music, massed pipes & drums, dancers, & displays of military, police, & civilian performance excellence.

Taptoos come from a centuries old military tradition. It all started when a Dutch commander would order a bugler and drummer out into the town to signal the innkeepers to quit serving the troops. The process was known as “Do Den Tap Toe” (doe den tap toe). Thats where the English word “Taptoo” was derived from.
