On Wednesday evening, January 8, 2014, a School Resource Officer with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office informed CSPD of an allegation of an inappropriate relationship between a Mesa Ridge High School teacher and a female student.
While Mesa Ridge High School is in the county’s jurisdiction, the alleged assault occurred in the city’s jurisdiction which is why CSPD completed the investigation.
Following an investigation conducted today by our Crimes Against Children Unit, probable cause was established to charge the teacher.
Detectives believe this is an isolated incident but they are continuing their investigation to ensure there are no additional victims.
If anyone has information about this case please call (719) 444-7000; or you may call Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers, Inc. at (719) 634-STOP (7867); you do not have to give your name and could earn a cash reward.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special. You can find all my posts
