Creeks along Cheyenne Canon attract Hummingbirds to the mountain park. Hummingbirds have been returning for generations to make their nests and raise their young. Join the Friends of Cheyenne Canon in our annual migration to North Cheyenne Canon on May 10th for this fun, family festival.
Gates open at 10 am on May 10th and the festival runs until 4 pm Saturday afternoon. Please park at the Cheyenne Mountain Junior High School and ride the free shuttle to the festival. With Mother’s Day on Sunday the Hummingbird Festival is a wonderful free event to attend with the whole family. Our hummingbird gardens will be planted and if Mother Nature agrees to cooperate, the flowers will be blooming to welcome the hummingbirds to their mountain home. Rain or shine we will be ready to greet you.
