Homicide Victim Identified

COLORADO SPRINGS – On March 5, 20 18, the El Paso Coroner’s Office completed the autopsy on the deceased
male who was shot in the 900 block of Yuma Street on March 4, 2018. The deceased male
has been identified as 33 year old Darryl Tyrone Clark, a resident of Colorado Springs.
Mr. Clark’s death is the fifth homicide investigated by the Colorado Spr ings Police
Department in 2018. The City of Colorado Springs had nine homicides at this time last

On March 5, 2018, the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Homicide Unit obtained an
arrest warrant for 44 year old Adonis Ondrae Anderson on the charge of First Degree
Murder. Adonis Ondrae Anderson has been identified in the March 4, 2018 shooting
death of Darryl Tyrone in the 900 block of Yuma Street. Anderson is considered to be armed

On March 4, 2018, at approximately 12:56 AM, officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the area of Yuma Street and East Yampa Street on a report of a man down in the street. Upon arrival, officers located a male with obvious trauma and no signs of life. The Colorado Springs Fire Department’s Paramedics confirmed the on scene death.
The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for this investigation. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and processing the crime scene.
