At Crawford House we need a small volunteer force of about 20 people for a few hours who can help organize the pantry, clean a little, and or paint a room on January 19, 2013.
Crawford House (415 S. Weber) is a program providing safe emergency housing for veterans who are homeless and receiving mental health care, and it provides a temporary structured living environment for veterans in VA-provided substance abuse rehabilitation.
Volunteers of all shapes and sizes from local grass root groups, active duty military, and private individuals have offered their help to keep the Crawford House a place of sanctuary for veterans who have suffered on the streets. The Veterans of the Crawford House are motivated to change their lives to be productive and not be a burden on anyone but themselves. The veterans at the Crawford House just need a little more help from local volunteers and Jan 19 would be a great day to show support for them. Point of contact for Crawford Project is Steve Kjonaas (“Shon-us”) at 719-574-2130.
Please call for more details.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special. You can find all my posts
