Hanover Fire Protection District Board is excited to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for our Fire Support Building. The new building will include a living area to support operations out of station 2, kitchen, training/Community meeting room, and an office space. Construction of the project is scheduled to begin at the end of June 2014, with completion in October 2014.
For many years, the Board of Directors and volunteers of the fire department have been working to address and improve our service to the citizens of our district. With our 1, 3, 5 and 10 year growth plans we have set our priorities and trigger points to address our major infrastructure needs. Starting in the fall of 2011, the board members and officers assessed our current, future buildings needs, how to develop the plans to address our increased calls for service while continuing to fit our building in with our surrounding neighbors.
The new facility designed by David Weesner Associates Architecture and planning, and construction managed by Elder Construction and Rhein Construction. This will better facilitate the needs of our growing fire department and to better serve the citizens of the Hanover Fire Protection District for years to come.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special.
