COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Additional fuel mitigation work will begin at Cheyenne Mountain State Park Monday, Oct. 20. Visitors may experience some temporary trail closures while the mitigation is being completed.
Crews will mitigate 100 acres near Zook Loop, Boulder Run, Talon, Medicine Wheel, Blackmer and South Talon trails. Weather will determine the length of the project, but the work is expected to be completed by the end of the year. This year Cheyenne Mountain State Park has already completed the retreatment of 57 acres of previously mitigated property, along with 19 acres of new mitigation.
For the latest trail closures contact the Park Office at 719-576-2016.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special.
