COLORADO STATE PATROL PRESS RELEASE
Colorado State Troopers responded to single vehicle rollover crash southbound Interstate 25 just north of Ft. Collins today at approximately 8:17 A.M..
A 2001 Honda Odyssey minivan was traveling southbound Interstate 25 near mile marker 271, just north of Ft. Collins in Larimer County. The vehicle was traveling in the left lane when it lost control and traveled off the right side of the roadway where it rolled.
The vehicle had seven occupants, two adults and five children. The vehicle was driven by Jennifer Lamblin, age 30 of Cheyenne Wyoming. Lamblin was unrestrained and was ejected during the roll sequence. Lamblin and four of the children were transported to Medical Center of the Rockies (MCR), with moderate to serious injuries. One of the children, a three year old female, originally transported to MCR was flown to Children’s Hospital with serious injuries. An adult male passenger and the one remaining child were transported to Poudre Valley Hospital with moderate injuries.
All of the children in the vehicle were restrained in the following method:
Two year old female in a child restraint, improperly installed, transported with moderate injuries
Two year old male in a child restraint, improperly installed, transported with moderate injuries.
Four year old male in a booster seat transported with moderate injuries.
Three year old female in a booster seat transported to Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.
Eight year old female restrained by seat belt, transported with moderate injuries.
The Colorado State Patrol wants to remind everyone to use child restraint systems correctly to prevent serious injuries.
It is unknown at this time what the relationship is between the adults and children.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected as factors in this crash.
This crash remains under investigation.
