The first Day of School at Widefield School District 3 starts on August 15, 2013 for all schools. Fountain-Fort Schools District started school on August 8th. Kindergarten
Kindergarten testing will be on August 15 -16th and Kindergarten will start August 19th. Widefield School district 3 offers free full-day kindergarten at all eight of its K-5 elementary schools. Call your neighborhood school or the administration building at 391-3000 to learn how to register your child. Kindergartners must be five years of by October 1 to enroll.
Before- and after-school child care
Junior Academy Children’s Center hosts before-and after-school child care in every District 3 elementary school. For a competitive fee, parents can drop their school-aged children off as early as 6 a.m. and pick them up as late as 6:30 p.m. Call Junior Academy at 719-659-6819 for more information.
Preschool Programs
Widefield School District 3 offers preschool programs for children ages 3 – 5 at North Elementary, Webster Elementary and the Widefield Community Center is home to Terrific Tots Preschool and Kreative Kinder Preschool Programs.
School Supplies
Starting school means getting schools supplies. Each school and grade level have school supplies such as notebooks, pencils pens crayons, clothes, backpacks to be ready for the new school year. Many stores are offering specials on school supplies and clothing at this time of year so check the ads to get the best deals.
