FALL IN LOVE AT CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN STATE PARK THIS FEBRUARY

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Practice placing Cupid’s arrow this month at Cheyenne Mountain State Park’s archery range and fall in love with a new hobby. Back by popular demand, the park is continuing its Women’s Archery Class in February.

Classes will be held Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. The course is women only and designed for beginner and novice archers as well as first-timers. Park staff and volunteer archery instructors will teach you the basics and help get you started. Equipment will be provided or you can bring your own. Classes are free but a valid state parks pass is required. Those interested should call 719-576-2016 to sign up.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park is also offering guided hikes every Friday this month. Hikes begin at 10 a.m. and meet at the Visitors Center. Hike locations vary each week. Cheyenne Mountain State Park is located south of Colorado Springs at 410 JL Ranch Heights Road. Take Nevada Avenue south, which becomes Colorado State Highway 115 to JL Ranch Heights Road opposite the Main Gate One entrance to Fort Carson. Turn to the west to the park entrance.

Programs are free but vehicles entering the park must have a $7 daily or $70 annual State Parks pass..
