Denver International Airport Future Traffic and Mobility on Peña Boulevard

DENVER – Denver International Airport (DEN) is the third busiest airport in the world and continues to be the largest economic engine in Colorado, providing $33 billion to the region. DIA has over 30,000 employees and is moving toward 100 million annual passengers as part of Vision 100, the existing and future demand for transportation continues to grow.

DEN’s long-term goals are to improve airport access on Peña Blvd enhancing safety, shifting to more sustainable modes of transportation and improving travel times.

The Mobility Master Plan will re-evaluate demand and future improvements on the Peña Boulevard corridor. The study intends to understand travel behavior, identify transportation options, economic barriers and develop a comprehensive plan on how to address these issues for the airport and the surrounding communities.
