9 Fun-Filled Days of Cool Science! 

Mark your calendars for October 12-20, as Cool Science celebrates the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) with over 40 fun and engaging special events!  It’s the 10th Annual Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival, and there’s something for everyone, no matter your age or interest. 

Like to cook? Learn how heat and altitude affect ingredients in foods as a master chef guides you through a fun interactive Science of Cooking class 

Bristol Beer Science Tour – find out how hops and microorganisms combine to give beers unique textures or take a guided Walking Tour of Manitou’s famous mineral springs and discover what makes them bubble to the surface.  Each is absolutely free*, as are most of the festival special events.

Fancy an inspiring movie?  Enjoy “Dream Big: Engineering Our World” on the giant 50-foot dome of the USAFA’s newly-renovated planetarium, or enjoy a Night Sky Safari show instead.  There are also several planetarium shows at the new Challenger Learning Center.

If you prefer the real thing, step outside for one of the star-gazing nights featuring the Mobile Earth & Space Observatory.  How about a deep Underground Adventure at Cave of the Winds or the new Lethal Lab Science Escape Room (both offering deep discounts off the regular prices).
