Colorado State Patrol Seeks Public Assistance in Locating Possible Hit and Run Vehicle in Adams County

The Colorado State Patrol requests the assistance of the public in locating a vehicle which possibly ran over a pedestrian lying in the roadway in Adams County.

This evening, at approximately 7:30 p.m. a pedestrian lying in the southbound lanes of Pecos Street, just south of West 76th Avenue was rolled over by a full-sized brown pickup. After rolling over the pedestrian, the driver of the brown pickup did not stop to render aid or notify authorities of the crash.  It is a possibility that the driver of the pickup never saw the male lying in the roadway as the pedestrian was wearing dark colored clothing at the time of the incident.

The pedestrian, an adult male, was transported to Denver Health Medical Center where he died.

If you have any details that may assist the Colorado State Patrol in locating a brown full-sized pickup please call CSP dispatch at 303-239-4501 1D-16-0654.

This incident remains under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
