The City of Fountain is accepting applications for the position of Regular Part-Time Police Officer.  A Fountain Police Department Police Officer Application must be filled out, as part of the application; the Disqualifying Behaviors List must also be signed and attached to the application.  Officers hired for this position may be scheduled to fill a regular shift, cover for gapes in shifts and Officers on leave or as needed to maintain adequate staffing levels.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Lateral Entry Applicants Only – must have three (3) years of Patrol Officer experience with a law enforcement agency during the last five years at minimum, depending on qualifications and experience, at the discretion of the Police Chief. High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.  Minimum twenty-one years of age, good physical condition, no felony conviction, strong verbal and written communication skills.  Must not be currently working for any other law enforcement agency.    Starting hourly rate of pay is $20.19; at six (6) months, the hourly rate of pay would go to $21.19 depending on successful job performance; and at one (1) year, the hourly rate of pay would go to $22.25 depending on successful job performance.

Employment process includes oral interview, physical agility test, background investigation, truth verification exam, psychological tests, and physical exam.
