The Cirque du Soleiel Varekai is at the World Arena from December 31 to January 4th. Varekai means “where ever” in the Romany language of the gypsies and pays tribute to the nomadic soul.
Take a journey into the shadows of a magical forest with fantastical creatures, innovative music and otherworldly sets. Watch the Russian swings artists and triplet trapeze swing through the air as they entertain us.
There are over 130 costumes in the Varekai wardrobe. All costumes are custom made.
The music represents different cultures worldwide. The 7 piece band plus 2 singers perform music from the Hawaiian islands, France, Armenian and gospel music.
The cast and crew is an international one, representing 25 nationalities: Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Serbia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom and United States.
