Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is extending its celebration of military personnel and their families this year again for a full week. During Military Appreciation Week, Monday, September 10 – Sunday, September 16, 2012, all active duty/retired military members and their families receive zoo admission for just $5.25 per person, a discount of up to $6.00 off regular military rates.
“It’s one small way we can recognize how much we appreciate the many military families in our community making such huge sacrifices on the public’s behalf,” said Cheyenne Mountain Zoo President Bob Chastain. “It’s an excellent opportunity to give them a chance to gather as a family and spend some quality time together while experiencing the natural world.”
To receive the discount, simply present valid military identification at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo admissions booth. Military personnel also receive 10% off merchandise in the Thundergod Gift Shop.
Military Appreciation Week at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is sponsored by Toyota of Colorado Springs, Liberty Toyota, Ent, and Colorado Springs Pediatric Dentistry.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special.
