Give Cheyenne Mountain State Park’s new archery range at the free archery class. Cheyenne Mountain State Park is offering beginners a chance to take aim on June 18. The class is for those ages five and up and runs from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Equipment will be provided by the instructors. Students will learn the fundamentals of range safety and how to shoot a bow and arrow. Instructors will be on hand until 11:30 a.m. to assist students who want to stay and practice their new skills. “We have a really great facility here at the park but we realize not everyone has the equipment necessary to take advantage of it,” said Park Manager Mitch Martin. “This gives people a chance, especially beginners, to figure out if it’s a hobby they may enjoy.” Class size is limited to 12 students. Call the park at 719-576-2016 to sign up. Be sure to bring sunscreen and water. The class is free but a $7 daily state park pass or annual park pass is required on each vehicle entering the archery range or park.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special.
