Colorado Springs, CO – Penrose Library 50th Anniversary Celebration will be on Sunday, July 15 starting at 12:30 pm at the main entrance to Penrose Library!
On July 15, 1968 the Vice Mayor of Colorado Springs accompanied by William Tutt and Russell Tutt representing El Pomar, cut the ribbon to open Penrose Library. We will reenact that event with Mayor Suthers and Thayer Tutt doing the honors.
We will pay tribute to past PPLD Director Bernie Margolis who passed away last month by rededicating the sculpture at the main entrance that was originally dedicated to him in the early 1990’s.
Past PPLD Directors Patrick Losinski and Paula Miller will attend and speak briefly.
There will be birthday cake, food vendors, live music, photo exhibits featuring past shots of Penrose, children’s activities, trivia and costume contests.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special.
