The fire engines will support CalFire and are traveling from Colorado to Chino, California for staging and assignments. DFPC expects a second group of fire engines may also deploy to California later this week. 

The request is coordinated in partnership between the Rocky Mountain Area Coordination Center and the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control.

The Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control are working with CalFire to meet any additional needs.

The agencies left for California on December 6 for a 14-day deployment are from across the state, including:

• Elk Creek Fire Fire Protection District
• Grand Fire Protection District
• Grand Junction Fire Department
• Mountain View Fire Protection District
• North-West Fire Protection District
• West Metro Fire Department
• Arvada Fire Protection District
• Aurora Fire Protection District
• Castle Rock Fire Department
• Donald Wescott Fire Protection District
• Gypsum Fire Department
• Lake Dillon Fire Department
• North Metro Fire Department
• Security Fire Protection District
• South Arkansas Fire Department

The National Interagency Resource Ordering and Status System (ROSS) operates in an estimated 400 interagency dispatch and coordination offices throughout the Nation. The ROSS tracks all tactical, logistical, service and support resources mobilized by the incident dispatch community.
