Slippery roads are causing havoc for many drivers. Tires are spinning but cars just aren’t moving. The snow is high and roads are icy causing cars to get stuck throughout Colorado Springs and Fountain. Many drivers were stuck on Cheyenne Meadows Drive and Cheyenne Mountain Blvd throughout the day. Thanks to many good Samaritans who were out helping drivers by pushing them out of the snow or pulling them out with their trucks. The best thing to do is to stay home until roads are cleared.
Many schools are closed on Wednesday such as School District 11, District 20, District 49. A decision has not been made for Fountain-Fort Carson District 8 or Widefield School District 3. Check the Cancellations, Weather Closings & Delays page before heading out tomorrow. We will update it as closing come in. Drive safely!

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special. You can find all my posts
