Do you like watching the Thunderbirds flyover the Air force Academy’s Graduation? Having trouble finding a place to watch them that has a great view and is safe and comfortable?
Look no more! WMMI has 27 acres of land that is perfect for a Thunderbird flyover picnic! Bring and enjoy a picnic lunch by our spring fed ponds and flowering meadow as you experience the mighty Thunderbirds soar over you! The Thunderbird’s demonstration will take place between 12:30 and 1:00 pm.
Come early, set up your family picnic, and enjoy the show! Grounds are open for picnicking and flyover watching from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm! Admission to the grounds only for this event will be $5.00 per vehicle. Regular museum admission applies for those interested in seeing the museum afterwards.
