Calling all superheroes, princesses, cartoon characters — and ghosts, too! The 4-H clubs in El Paso County invite you to an evening of fall family fun, highlighted by a petting zoo, bounce house and costume contest at the fourth annual El Paso County 4-H Fall Carnival on Saturday, Oct. 26.

From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., children decked in Halloween costumes of every kind will take over the Skyview Middle School gymnasium, 6350 Windom Peak Blvd. in Colorado Springs, to enjoy the safe, family-friendly activities.

Cost is 25 cents per ticket, with booths charging between one and eight tickets for their food, games and fun. Those who bring canned food donations for Care & Share will receive four free tickets.

“Attendance and enthusiasm for this event has grown every year,” said Johnathan Vrabec, Colorado State Extension 4-H/Youth Development Agent in El Paso County. “The 4-H members develop life skills from planning, organizing and running their booths while all our guests have fun celebrating the fall, hopefully while learning a little about 4-H.”
Proceeds from the event benefit the El Paso County 4-H Youth Council and the individual 4-H clubs operating the booths.

4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. Currently, there are nearly 30 4-H clubs and more than 500 4-H members and 200 4-H volunteers in El Paso County.
