Colorado Springs Utilities now crushes toilets and porcelain to use as road base to help reduce waste in landfills and to lower costs for buying new aggregate. The new program is free which helps local residents reduce disposal costs and helps promote a more sustainable community. Toilets, sinks and other porcelain are accepted at El Paso County’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on the second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Please remove all plastics and metals before bringing them to El Paso County’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility and plan on loading your own materials into the dumpster. The toilet and porcelain recycle program launched on April 2, 2012.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special.
