In honor of National Military Appreciation Month, Mountain Metropolitan Transit is offering active duty military free rides on its fixed-route city buses. This military appreciation program will last for the entire month of May and includes all active duty U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserves. To ride free, active duty military personnel must present an active duty military ID card to the bus driver or wear the appropriate uniform at time of boarding.
“We are honored to provide the local military community free rides on our fixed-route bus system during Military Appreciation Month. The transit services division of the City of Colorado Springs appreciates not only the enormous sacrifices made by our military but also their contribution to our local community,” said Craig Blewitt, director Mountain Metropolitan Transit.
Mountain Metropolitan Transit provides fixed-route bus service and Metro Mobility service for Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region, as well as other services such as ridesharing, FrontRange Express and the Ute Pass Express commuter services. For added convenience, Mountain Metropolitan Transit offers bike racks on all buses through its bike-n-bus program.

FVTimes.com was started by me, Liz Alexander with Pink Realty. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fountain, Widefield, Security and Southern Colorado Springs area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle we call home. FountainValaleyTimes.com is that place. We want to share what makes this community of ours so special.
